Barbie
Born: 2010
Colour: Grey
Barbie or ‘Babs’ as she’s known, was a bit nervous when she first came to us but has settled in and loves a good groom. She is a very calm and steady pony for lead rein.
Snoopy
Born: 2003
Colour: Grey
Snoopy is the ultimate confidence giver for hacking and ideal for sitting trot, though he generally enjoys a quieter life now. He is an excellent model for grooming and loves work which involves not moving.
Twinkle
Born: 26 May 2016
Colour: Fleabitten Grey
Twinkle is a very sweet girl who looks after her riders. She is very fond of Piccolo and is often seen with him in the field.
Piccolo
Born: 25 April 2003
Colour: Chestnut
Piccolo is a Welsh Section C, he is an ex-competition pony. Piccolo can turn his hoof to anything, lead rein, hacking or escaping through gates while no one is looking.
Summer
Born: 21 June 2023
Colour: Perlino
Summer was born on summer solstice, hence her name. She is a PRE Fusion (Spanish x Welsh Mountain Pony). We expect she'll stay as a pony, and hopefully reach 14hh. She is a cheeky girl who loves polos and will be very hopeful you have some for her!
Harry Trotter (Toast)

Colour: Dun
Harry Trotter is affectionately known as Toast by some due to his coat colour. He is a Shetland pony and is often seen hanging out with Dolly. Harry is a very laid back boy and great for nervous kids who want to groom a pony.
Mr. Mostyn
Born: 1 June 1999
Colour: Black
Mostyn is our oldest Shetland. He can spot a feed bucket coming from a mile away and he will let you know he has seen it! Don’t let his age fool you, he still has plenty of life in him.

Bella

Colour: Dapple Grey
Bella is a Shetland x Welsh mountain pony and our smallest lead rein pony. Often making her a child’s first pony to ride. She has had two foals, one that grew to 13hh!
Mr. Claus
Born: 1998
Colour: Bay
Claus is a thoroughbred, he never trained for racing. He enjoys hacking but stays sensible even in open fields. At 16’2 hh he is one of our largest residents.

May is a forward Welsh Mountain Pony, who is best friends with Summer. She often tries (so far unsuccessfully) to steal Margot’s food, so will always appreciate any carrots you have.
Dolly Parton

Colour: Varnish Roan
She is a Shetland Pony. Dolly can escape almost any field by squeezing through tiny gaps! We've worked hard to make things Dolly proof!
She has crazy hair but doesn't care.

Margot

Thoroughbred Ex Race Horse. She can open gates and often leads the way for others to follow. She didn't have a very nice time when she left the racing industry but now absolutely loves to have a fuss.
Cinderella

Colour: Few Spot
Cinderella is best friends with Raindance. They were both rescued by The British Spotted Pony Welfare from a 30 pony stud farm. The girls have had two years in a loan home in Leeds before coming to join us. She is a little nervous but enjoys walking with the other minis.
Raindance

Colour: Varnish Roan
Raindance is best friends with Cinderella and gets very stressed without her. They are both miniature spotted mares. Although one of our older residents, Raindance definitely does not act her age and has established herself as the boss of the mini mares.
Leo

Colour: Cremello
​Leo is quite the character, he will grab anything he can and throw it around. He is a Welsh Section C x Arab and was born in France. Leo is very good at teaching riders to pay attention and look where they’re going otherwise they’ll be in a hedge, despite this he is very sensible in open fields.

Darcy
Born: 2018
Colour: Dark Bay
Darcy, the beautiful mare who started the journey to Hooves and Happiness, sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2025. Thoroughbred Ex Race Horse. She was best friends with Margot and they spent all their time together. Darcy had a difficult time as a race horse and still worried a little. She learnt what it means to be loved and turned into the biggest softie. She is greatly missed.
Ethel

Ethel is not a pony, but a Siamese cat!
She is a rescue from Anna's Rescue Centre in Cardiff.
Ethel is quite shy, but if she rolls over in front of you then she would like belly rubs.​
Betty
Colour: Calico
Betty is not a horse at all, she is the stable's resident cat. She is very fluffy, and cuddly. Don't believe her if she cries for food, she's a great actress, but has been fed!
